200+ is normal operating temperature when sitting and warmed up. mine drops a bit of power once its hot. ive given up and determined that to be normal. If i had to guess its either old 02 sensors, or less gas being shoved into the engine during warmup because its done warming up.

also, if you cant afford upgrades, leave it stock. that's what i do.

so what year is your car? 02+? do you have the pink injectors?

My car is an 02. Not sure about the color of the injectors? Can someone tell me more about this? Saw this oil cooler on am and it looks interesting. Where would you mount it? Anyone have one?Click image for larger version

Talk about a hijacked thread...this was about an engine cooling issue; then turned into college books being sold.

Lets turn it into college text books about thermal dynamics.

your 02 should have pink 21lb injectors as opposed to orange 19's.
that looks like a cooler that mounts to your radiator.

Not needed unless you are running high rpms for an extended period of time, like at a track day.

Interesting Take on: Where this conversation Started and where it Ended. What I got from this is: I'm going to Leave my 2007 Hood Scoop the way it came.

Water and/or meth injection will help cool it.

Although, this should not be happening in the first place. I urge you to flush the cooling system and make sure that your cooling fan is working properly. T-Stat as well
