Progress has been made!

I lurk here every day absorbing everything I can from all of you. As some of you know I am building my car for the future. I use almost everyone's advise to others as starting points. Such as scotty's advise to everyone with gears to go to a taller tire. And soccer's experience with his brakes. Well, this is what 1200 will get you in tires and brakes.
550 for brakes and 650 for tires. Click image for larger version

These are the tears.
The discs are DBA T2 front and rear and pads are Hawk HPS
Tires are BFG 255-45-17 all the way around. Yea I kinda wanted a taller rear and shorter front. But it works out better this way that I can rotate them. More parts to come, stay tuned!!

Hey Slater, what tune are you going with? That's a great project you've got going on. Good luck! I'll keep checking back to see your progress. I also lurked for many many months and learning everything I can from fellow users. Looking good so far.

I'd say that was about 35 pounds of seats and the belts. I removed everything. The foam molding between the body and panels were removed also. I tune with More Power Tuning in Orlando. They've been very good! I am installing bigger injectors, bigger Tb, and a JLT intake. I had them adjust for those.

New injectors, bigger throttle body, and a JLT CAI. I've got to say I'm impressed with the JLT intake. It's hot today for a fall day. (84*) I monitored my intake temp with my X4 and temps didn't get above 84.

Acceleration feels smoother, seems to pull harder and feels like I use less throttle. I did note I use less throttle position from a stand still.

Suspension is done, subframes installed, back seat deleted, not much else to do other than a big power plant change. That'll have to come later. No time to do it while I'm in school and dailying it. I should post up in the for sale ads to sell my leather rear seats. See if anyone wants them.

Got a better shot of the gauge function. The APSX D2 wideband is a simple, great functioning alternative to the very high priced name brand stuff. I'm please with how well it works. Click image for larger version

It was very easy to install. It comes pre assembled and is plug and play besides 2 connections for the basic system. It has 5 wires, of which you use the positive (red) and negative (black). I used and add a circuit and plugged that in line on my fuse block to the dash lights. And grounded the negative to the chassis. Routing the wire through the trans tunnel was the most difficult part but is easily doable in an hour. The rest plugs right up and comes pre calibrated for a turn key operation. I bought it from Amazon.com and paid 130 shipped.
