If you do gears, go 410 Ford Racing and get the whole kit from AM. I beleive its still under $300. When i inquired about getting my gears done the shop told me to get nothing but Ford Racing and get the kit. They have been doing gears for 40 plus years, family owned kinda place, only a ring and pinion shop etc etc. It cost me a little under $600 total with install and the gear kit i ordered from AM. It was a night and day difference just doing them. I wouldnt be too concerned with MPG between the 373 and 410, it wont be a huge difference, will cost you a little more but not enough IMO to justify going 373 instead. You will kick yourself for not going 410 like Keeney abd others ive seen post on here for years. I vote for saving for the gears, then save and get a tuner to fix your speedo and to utilize for other mods down the road. Then do TB/plenum from Summit, and focus on susepension. It will be an entirely new car with gears, TB/plenum, tune, springs, sub frames etc.

I have access to a mustang dyno @ 50/hr rate so ive used it quite a bit in my build and to compare it to my dyno software. Mind you I have an auto so my stock whp numbers are lower than manual. I was 212rwhp bone stock with 70k miles. Cai+bbk pulleys put me at 218rwhp. My o/r h + dr gas mufflers put me at 231. Bama 93 race tune put me at 251. Bama 93 PERFORMANCE tune put me at 258. After that I tore into the motor and did heads, cams,tb,stall, etc and went with a dyno tune(46hp). So just so real world numbers you can figure on.

I don't know if it's lower but they are somewhat inaccurate from what I've heard.. But see, he only gained 6 hp from a cold air intake and pullies.. So both of those mods don't do hardly anything..

Gears, exhaust, suspension, shifter, good tires, bolt ons(tb,headers, CAI, good coils, pullies if you have money to basically throw away

What does a used set in good condition for h&r springs with adjustable shocks and struts go for?

Would I need cc plates to for 2 inches??

I got a great deal on a used Accufab TB/P and you can definitely feel the difference over 2500-3000 rpms. In also running the 91 tune that came on my X4 and really don't think I could tell much difference between the 87 and 91 tunes.
