Getting back in a Mustang

I had a 13 coyote and I sold it about 11 months ago. I'm itching to get back into a mustang, but I'm not looking for a giant project at this time. I stumbled across this bad boy. Basically I'm looking for any advice I can get and thoughts on this particular mustang.

Scotty I know you have a ridiculous amount of knowledge on 2v's, so hopefully you can step in and educate me.

Here's the link.

Very true. But I need to live within my means and not go in debt for 5-6 years over a car. I love the new edges, and the only thing I'd want to add would be boost down the road since the motors already built. And I already have a 2008 focus as my DD, so I've got that aspect covered.

I'd be concerned about how demodded this car is. Most people don't put a built motor in a car without fi and drive it 10k miles.

That would be a great car if he has receipts. Concerned about his low rwhp. I have much the same as him ported heads stg 3, but my bottom end is stock and my cams are only stg 1, I do have larger fuel and air system so maybe... But my non-mustang dyno rwhp is 338. Could be he is using a canned tune as well. In any case thats a 180 dollar car payment at 2.9% so if he has records of all work done id jump on it

It was tuned at STL Mustangs via the dyno paper. Bob Monks is the guy that runs that shop and I'd assume he tuned it. He's THE go to mustang guy in Missouri. My buddy has a 02 gt with a procharger D1 at 10 lbs that put out 380 rwhp on that dyno, tuned by Bob Monks. I'm going to assume its a mustang dyno by the lower numbers. But honestly, who gives a flying poop about dyno numbers. Track numbers will tell everything.

BTW, just saw your track times in your sig, nice times.

Tell that Bob guy St. Louis is too far for me to drive for a dyno tune. LSXKilr over here wants $300 for a dyno tune, and someone told me he wouldn't go to any KC area tuner for a tune...

Sounds like a legit ride. I paid 7k for my car because it was pristine 1 owner untouched. That car is worth every penny of 8k

2013, bob is the goto guy, he tuned my mustang and the car you posted above I've seen in person, I live in Jefferson City about 20 min from Columbia..

Car runs good, very clean but I'm curious as to why he's selling it, he just got it done not too long ago.

But it is a mustang dyno FYI

That explains the numbers. He's in the 330 range same as me, bit higher perhaps. Mine is in the 3 oh something on the mustang dyno

Like I said the dyno numbers don't really mean too much to me. Knowing Bob tuned it is great to know. I'll ask him about it later today and try to get more info.

From the looks in the photographs the car looks well taken care of. If it drives good, rides good, shifts good, don't get hot, don't smoke, and tires are good.
Offer $7,000 for it and maybe get it for $7,500
Just be sure to test drive it before buying.

I've had a couple guys tell me LSXKilr does good work... You've heard otherwise? Not wanting to fork over $300 is why I haven't tried it yet.

I've heard plenty of people say they do good work, just heard a reputable individual say otherwise. I'd probably go anyway if it wasn't $300.

So I found out he motor has never seen boost or nitrous.

Keeney35 he said he's selling because he's moving and can't take it with him. Might have to go take a look at this in person.
