04 gt thump noise

Just recently start doing the noise. Coming from passenger side engine bay. No engine light and still drives normal. Just at idle it thumps randomly.

That is the damndest noise that I have ever heard!
You are going to have to do some further investigation to pinpoint where it is coming from. Take a long screwdriver and use it as a stethoscope of sorts. Hold it up to your ear and touch the metal end on various parts of the engine, including the exhaust, and see if you can determine the source of that sound.

It's random. Never heard this noise before. Thought it was spark plug but wasn't.

Only happens when the engine is warm. I'll shoot another video tomorrow morning and post it.

Was going to post a video this morning but it's not making the noise now? I'm burnt out.

Well, finally found the problem. Went away for half the day and came back. Was the MSD Coil Pack on cylinder 4 I believe. The boot was ripped. Spark plug was fine. The coils are less than 2 months old. Probably why MSD has a bad rep for the coils. Might Suddenly Die. Well it did. Should've went with Ford OEM.

That thing was making one hell of a racket!
I wonder if you can get a replacement boot/spring for that coil and just reuse it?

Even MSD has to last longer than 2 months! Haha

They must have a warranty if they are only a couple of months old.
