LS SWAP HELP

My car was running great and then it started knocking badly!
My first thought was to replace it with a built 2V but now I think
an LS swap would be not only cheaper but give me more power?!

What parts will I need to do the LS swap and does anyone have any first hand experience?

Trolling?

I'm not sure too many of us like the ls guys.. Why not find a mark viii and use that 4v motor.. Build the bottom end of your 2v and spray the piss out of it

Only ls swap if your doing a weekend track car and are serious OR if your ls swapping a fox body those are cake. You can do an auto ls swap for about 1200 but just grab u a 500 dollar junkyard 2v and replace the one thats knocking. May even break even after selling parts

the motor may be cheaper, maybe. but the 4.6's are already pretty cheap and easy to get. but the swap will likely be a pain. i'd imagine going from a ford to a gm, nothing will fit without fabrication.

LS SWAP HELP

When u come to a ford forum and talk about throwing in a chevy motor u are gonna run into some ppl hatin on it and vice versa... Im not biased and say if u wanna do it go for it u need a motor, trans, eng harness and computer... The stock 4.6 mounts can be modified to work, ur gonna need the yoke from the gm driveshaft for transmission.. And theres always gonna be odds and ends and wiring to get the tach and speedo and oil press and all to work... Ls swap headers... Better off goin to ls swap forums tho cuz here ur gonna get pushbacks because hardcore ford enthusiast dont like that stuff... It would be cheaper to pull a crown vic jy motor and throw in there trust me on that... And u can make good hp n.a with the ls motors as to where it cost a fortune to get 370hp n.a with the 2v.. But u can boost the 2v and dust the ls cars as long as they arnt sprayed or boosted and spend less then building a 500hp ls motor.. It really depends on what are ur goals, if u ever plan on boost or spray then just make the 2v tough with some forged parts and do it but if ur gonna always stay n.a ull make more power n.a with a ls motor then with a 2v.. So what are ur final goals?
