No Longer Sells H&R Springs

Anyone know why AM stopped selling H&R springs?
Contractual money? Defective parts, i doubt.
Just curious.
Thanks

I would be interested to know why as well, because I'm considering buying a set.

I bought mine for my 03 back in 2010 from AM when they still carried them.
I was going to buy them again this past winter but saw that they no longer carry them.

I got them thru LMR which worked out since I had a $25 promo discount to use.

It makes sense for them to stop carrying a product if it is not selling well enough. It is an incurred cost on them to hold inventory on a product so if they review their margins and they don't justify having that entire product line then it makes sense to let it go.

IIRC they used to offer around 4-5 different H&R springs. AM probably got the springs at a better price if they purchase multiple lines or offerings (Super Sport, Race, Sport) as opposed to just one. So if only one product line sells well, it doesn't make monetary sense for AM to drop the other offerings because there's a 99% chance H&R or it's distributor will increase the purchase price for just one product line.

AM is still a business, and businesses have to make a profit. They just did what makes the most financial sense.

Vendors, product lines, contracts change all the time with retailers. Im sure it wasnt anything really negative, most likely a business decision. That being said I would think that a brand as popular, and a great product like H&R would sell better than a product like Vogtland (which are good and been around a long time, but dont seem to be nearly as big in the Mustang community). Could be like Sonic said, which happens a lot or H&R wanted to expand to one of AMs competitors, and it just didnt work out. That happens a lot too in the retail world. Or just simply the contract ran out with them and they decided to go a different direction. They could even have a higher margin on the Vogtland product verse H&R and dont need to sell as many and still turn the same profit. If that was the case then they could reduce inventory dollars, and space. Its all about running lean, turning and burning product. The longer it sits, the less you make, with it taking up space and inventory. Anyway could be anything. Could even be that AMs Senior Buyers dont like the guys over at H&R or Vogtland gave them more free golfing trips and vacations, lol.

This sort of thing happens all the time. LRS sells them and is just as good as AM so it really doesn't matter.
