Ticking/clicking

So from a cold start my engine makes a loud clicking or ticking sound then once it warms up the sound goes from little to nothing. What could it be? I'm also running lean if that helps

Does your car have an aftermarket tune or intake? Have you tried fuel system cleaner and checking fuel filter? Have you tried oil for high mileage vehicles?

Just running over the basics, sorry if it seems redundant.

It's the lifters most likely.

It could also be an exhaust leak like a blow exhaust manifold gasket or cracked manifold

I've cleaned the maf sensor and the filter and I put a new fuel filter. It doesn't have any tunes. If it's the lifters how could I fix it? It Barely had an oil change less than 100 miles. And has 158k miles

The only cleaner I've added is upper cylinder lubricant/ injector cleaner.

You really can't fix them other than replace if in fact that's it. Mine does the same thing except it is gone in a second. As soon as oil pressure fills the lifter it's inflated again and all is well. Kinda sounds like the same as yours. But it is worse. Just my guess don't freak out yet.

I see people saying it could be a knock, lifter, timing tensioner, exhaust leak

Unfortunately, noises in general is hard, if not impossible to diagnose remotely. All we can do is give our advice from personal experiences. Of course there 2 routes to take. 1) throw random fixes at your car and hope the noises go away or 2) take it in for inspection at a shop and it can be pinpointed alot quicker/better as they will have it in person.
