What's my car worth?

I have a 2003 GT with 118,xxx miles. The car was involved in a rear end collision at 10,000 miles. Because of this, I have a rebuilt title. Based on that and the below, what do you think my car is worth? There is nothing wrong with this car and it runs perfect.

Vortech V2 supercharger
47# injectors
Kenny Bell boost a pump
Mac prochamber h-pipe
Mac prochamber mufflers
4:10 gears
BBK cold air intake
Eibach sportline suspension
03-04 Cobra Front Bumper
Bullit 17x9 & 17x10.5 wheels
SCT2 Tuner
Pioneer head unit
Tinted windows
Tinted headlights

I'm not interested in selling it but I would like to know what i would be able to get for it if I decided to sell.Click image for larger version

Most private buyers and dealerships will only go off of what the NADA or Bluebook value is. They will also take into consideration the Carfax report (accidents, etc). Usually aftermarket mods add 0 value. In fact, it can hurt your odds of selling the car privately. As not everyone is looking for the same mods. They will have to end up spending more to get the car back to stock or their tastes.

Modded Car - Smaller market of people - Even smaller group with the same tastes
Stock Car - Bigger Market - Clean slate for whoever wants to change it or keep it the same

Usually the best bet is to return as much to stock before selling it. If you didn't save the stock parts, then good luck.

There are many threads on this forum where this has been discussed. So do not think of me as the only person that thinks/agrees on this.

Part out and restore to stock. You can get a nice chunk by selling the aftermarket stuff separately. Hopefully you kept the stock stuff.

Probably double that if you part out the car.

It will affect the resale to some people. That is why I mentioned going off the carfax for buyers.

Yes it does!
I would think that your car would be worth in the 6-7 thousand range If it had a clean title.

That's what the 05-09 GT's go for now. We paid 5900 for a clean 04 GT convertible with 125,000 miles on it and a clean title just a few months ago.Click image for larger version

For a clean title in my area, you would see around 8-9K tops. Rebuilt title, probably 5-6k if you are lucky.

Rebuilt title around me with those mods people are asking 7-8k, now saying that the ones ive seen on Craigslist were on there for quite a while. I dont know if they got their prices or gave up. If clean, and everything is done right and documented i would think you could get 6k or a little more to someone who really wanted your car. But like others have said, put it back to stock or remove the blower setup, sell the car for 4-5k, then sell your Vortech and goodies for 2-3k again if all in great shape and in documented working order. This way you would maximize what you have. Looks like a really nice and clean car with nice set up in it for sure. I like what you have done with it, great job! Keep it and save up for whatever you want and enjoy both, this is what im trying to do one day, may take a couple more years but i cant get out what i have in my old 96 and be happy with it. I would rather keep my really clean good looking, strong running, meticulously maintained Mustang and shop for another one at some point.

Key words were "around me". 05-09 here go for 10-15. Prices are subject to location. I sold my 03 V6 for more than you paid for your GT last November. Just different markets.

Hell, tax time here you could sell them for as much as you want here, and sadly people do. My buddy was excited to show me his awsome 99 V6 vert, 150k miles, he paid 6k. He didn't like the news I gave him. I'm talking private party prices because dealers won't pay squat for a new edge in this area. (But they will sell one for 4-7 times what they paid...)
