radiator fan always on

hey

i just noticed that the radiator fan is constantly running on my 2002 mustang gt, in the morning when the car is cold and when the car is warm. Should i be worried? i just dont want to run into any problems down the road. What are some basic things to check? thanks

If your a/c is on, your fan will constantly run. Turn it off and see what happens.

You can check the fan relay to make sure it is turning on and off. You could have a relay that is stuck on which would cause the fun to run anytime you have ignition on.

Another thing that this might point to due to the age of the car is that the bottom half of the radiator is full of sludge and minerals. How quickly does the car get hot?

or you could just turn off a/c and defrost before starting car. If the fan doesn't come on when you start engine problem solved , no problem.
