Fastest new edge 2 valve with stock piston and rods,

What's the fastest new edge 2 valve with stock crankshaft, pistons, and rods and how much power/torque? Looked on goggle, but didn't find anything.

Fastest new edge 2 valve with stock piston and rods,

I've seen some time slips of high 10s posted on another forum. He had full suspension turbo and weighed like 2800 pounds if I remember correctly. He said stock bottom end and 10lbs of boost... But who knows if he was truthful or if it was even his time slip

Not very fast don't have an actual answer, but I believe with stock internals, ur maxing out at like 450hp. I would bet the realm's been pushed though, with tragic results.

Following thread to see results. Interested, since my internals will always be stock, lol.

(unless unexpected lottery win and then coyote swap is a possibility)

Yeah. I've been thinking about forged rotating assembly and shooting a bigger nitrous shot. So I made this thread to help me decide/see what a stock motor can do. I just want mid 11's in 1/4.

Same here I've priced several forged rotating assembly's which are fairly cheap... Around 1500 from f.a.p which does a lot of our cnc stuff where I work... It starts to get real expensive when you start on head work etc... And premium hardware as in head studs etc... A good fuel system will easily run almost a grand... So who wants to start a go fund me account for my car... It's almost Christmas and I LOVE you 😘

Fastest new edge 2 valve with stock piston and rods,

Lol @ the love u ... U really dont need to much head work just some better valvetrain and cams for boost.. Head work would help some ( like a 3 angle valve job/ ported heads ) but not enough to justify the cost once ur boosted unless u work at a machine/performance shop or have good friends that can hook u up...id rathar put that money to something else... But max safe power is around 450 ... Anymore is on a time limit reliability drops like a sack of rocks... Even at 400-450 on stock internals is pushing ur luck.. My car made 475 before the injectors started not being enough but its backed down to 400 because it has stock rotating assembly but boost sure is fun πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜Š
Gonna follow this thread tho id like to see it run so videos and more videos please lol

There are a few cars that are dedicated drag cars running 10s with stock 2v full bolt on motors. But those cars have no interior, no A/C, manual steering racks, plexi windows, pin on hood, modified gas tanks, full suspension, and auto transmissions with huge stalls and 4:56 and 4:88 gears in the rear ends.

Yeah so you aren't going to get into the 10s unless you wanna sacrifice. 2v really isn't the best platform without digging in to the engine or gutting out the car

I knew of a guy who had a 2v, 5spd with nitrous that ran like 11.6 or something. I think his trap was like 121.

As far as I know, it was a stock bottom end. That car still had full interior. The car was an absolute turd off spray, like most 2v's. Pretty sure he was running a 200 or 250 shot.

He got so tired of getting raped by cam'd F-bodies that he sold the Mustang after less than a year and bought a Trans Am.

He was one of those guys that would push his stuff way beyond on what was safe if it meant being faster than the next guy. It was always fun watching him do pulls, you just knew the engine was going to explode .. sadly, it never did.
