Thinking about getting pistons and rods doing 200hp shot

What's a good set of piston and rods for a nitrous car? About time to rebuild the motor leaving stock crank maybe if I can. Wanting only 500rwhp if I can.

And if anybody knows how big of a shot nitrous outlet plate can do? Do want to do a direct port since I want it to look stock as a sleeper.

When I looked they had different kinds. I'm not sure which is best for nitrous.

Ortiz recommended h beams rods and 10.1 compression modular headshop piston and rods. Said it would hold up my 200 shot. I bet that's what rapinator would of suggested.. Now I'm waiting on price of build or new built block..

From what i've seen 150 is generally the limit for a plate kit, after that you want direct port.

If you are on a budget then an econo set of $500 forged pistons and $160 worth of Boss rods from Ford will be plenty for 500 with a stock crank.

I run Manley H beams and diamond Pistons, with a loose ring gap.

I would go the same route in your car or the modular head shop Pistons like you listed. Can't go ring with diamond though.

And far as a 200 shot with a plate it can be done but it's at its limit. Also you will need a dedicated fuel system. Pulling 200 off the rail is a dumb idea. Make sure you get a hardlined plate kit.

And in the dedicated run race gas or e85 if possible.

Awesome I'm on a nitrous outlet plate not sure if that counts as a hardline plate.

One last question is what compression would you recommend? Ortiz told me 10:1. I want it pretty safe setup.

All depends on what fuel setup your going to run. But 10:1 will be fine. You will Make a little more on motor alone also with the 10:1
