Tear down the motor to see how bad my head got damaged and to see if I should send it out for some block work.

Are you thinking about just replacing the piston and putting it back in the car?

Right now I'm thinking of just doing Boss rods and Manley pistons with an On 3 turbo kit.

Why not keep the vortec then and get an intercooler setup and turn up the boost?

I'm not the biggest fan of how these blowers make boost. I don't make peak boost until redline and that really bugs me. The power band was really smooth which is good for keeping traction, but I've ridden in too many turbo cars to be happy with a smooth power band.

The other issue is that in order to hit my power goals I will more than likely have to max this blower out or buy a bigger head unit

PM me a price on the mid pipe. I'm looking for a catless pipe, but but for the right price I can make an exception.

Does this mean that the Bullitt manifold will now be staying with the car?

Right now Dbcrusader says he wants the blower and intake manifold
so I'm planning on going with a Victor Jr for now. If the deal falls through then I will probably keep it.

I can do that but I will preface this by saying that it won't make a major change in sound volume.

I've only bottomed the car out once and I'm fairly certain that instance is where the shield was wrinkled. I was only doing about 3mph so it shouldn't have done any damage.

I'm learning that it is surprisingly hard to sell this blower, so who knows it might still be around

Good and bad. I really miss that car, so it's nice to see that it's still around. But at the same time I don't like hearing about what some of the other owners after me have done to it.

30-40 years from now, you will find the car once again. And then proceed with a rotisserie restoration that will cost more than the car is worth. Why? Because it is what us guys do.

Once she has been around the town, I mean block, restoration may be out of the question.

And she has most definitely been used and abused. On of the owners swapped a NPI head on it...

Maybe, or hopefully it will end up wrecked and crushed to spare me the headache of fixing it.

While I really do miss that car, I don't think I could buy it back after seeing how any people it has been through. I just have too many fond memories of it.

Also mine is currently getting exhaust finished up and found out Saturday after getting it back up to the shop to have the fuel neck grommet reinserted into the gas tank that mine needs a new steering shaft. So tomorrow I'm going by pull n pay since they have several cars there to look through!

Nice! Is the joint torn on the steering shaft?

Unfortunately one of the later owners decided to paint them bronze. As for the NPI head, my only guess is that one of the owners is either an idiot or wanted a quick flip

No it's the crimped joint right above the u-joint that's wollered out.

And with all the work done on the suspension it's just really really amplified in the steering and feel of the car. Like easily 100X more touchy feely over if I just had some springs and shocks.

Gotcha. I've got my stock Bullitt springs laying around still if you want those. If the Bullitt ever goes IRS then I will have some H&R Supersports for sale

I can't actually run regular springs in the rear due to factory perches on the body destroyed.

And with the MM front K-member kit you can only run coilovers all around.
