Someone in our tanker squadron has one, he's in his early 20s. That's what happens when you make flight pay and $1500-$2k in per-diem on top of that and base pay per month. I picked the wrong career field although I was making similar for 2 years when I was a flying mechanic...

He also got the stick shift... For a 4400lb (or so) car that can't handle worth a damn... get the 8 speed auto. Its going to be much faster.

All that said, I like the new subtle refresh they did on the Challenger A LOT. There are a few new SRTs in this neighborhood I live in that are just gorgeous. One is the lime green color with a black dual ram air hood and one is all white and the same. If I had the $$$ to buy a car in that price range new right now I might just get the SRT over the Camaro or Mustang regardless of performance.

The white Mustang in Chicago Land should do the job.....if you can get the HP to ground without breaking something.
My motto has always been, "You can never have enough HP".......on the flip side just keep this mind..."There is always someone who is faster than you"......

Depends what sort of race it is. A GT500 or Hellcat will get demolished in a road course by a Boss or a 1LE Camaro.

For drag... again depends. Lots of really fast Coyotes out there in a 1/4 mile without very much work done at all. I think Grabber was running low 11s with full exhaust, full suspension, converter and a tune and that's it just as an example.

I also just saw a 700hp capable 2007 GT500 sell on SVTP for $30k cash a few months back. It was 620 on a very conservative tune with a TVS swap and all the other mods already done. Easy as a smaller pulley and re-tune for 700 to the wheels.

There are deals out there to be had.

Most of the races are roll races and from a stop

Although this wasn't a HellCat I did spend some time behind the wheel of a friends and definitively say that my 14TrakPak could have been long gone after 14 miles of twisty road..........just doesn't handle worth a darn.........I really like the Challanger....the only thing for me is they are almost pigs when it comes to carving corners.......the Mustang and Camaro are fare and away better handling cars.......always have been since the TransAm Wars of the late 60's.

Yeah my friends gt500 handles better than the hellcat but my buddy put some suspension mods on the hellcat and it does pretty well against the gt500

Max hp a 4.6 can handle

One Challenger finished fourth in the series, that's not bad I think.

This is what he has for suspension so far and it does pretty damn good while in track mode

Kw height adjustable springs
Front strut tower brace
Rear strut tower brace
Shorter rear sway bar links
Upgraded sway bar links

If you mod the Challenger...........stock the Mustang or Camaro with be nipping at his heels............then the Mustang and Camaro will mod their suspensions and the Challenger will be watching taillights again.

Here we go with the hp #'s again. I would love to pi$$ all over a lil 750hp hellcat. Then shove his dyno sheet somewhere

Try to get hp out of your head.

Cool.
I was confused about the name. Well that's good that they got right back to you. It just reinforces what I found on the internet. They seem like a top-notch shop!

I know that there are active forum members living in Chicago... The difficult part is going to be finding someone who's opinion that you trust, and, most importantly, someone who knows what to look for during a pre-purchase inspection of a Fox.
