Thanks for the info. Yeah I knew I need seperate tunes made for them, thats why I was wondering about the tunes for life, Ill email them as its not urgent.

I was thinking too if they wont do tunes for life it may be better to get it thru MPT. Get the tuner, order a tune for the 96, un marry it, then order a tune for the 03, and update it for the $25 or whatever it is as things are added (if there added, lol)

I have an idea of what brake/caliper paint I want to go with, but anyone have any reccomendations verse buying duplicolor brake paint from the local auto parts store? I was going to just do black so its nice and clean but was also thinking red maybe so it stands out a little. Any color suggestions? Car is silver if that helps. Also was thinking of silver too, but it doesn't always turn out the best.

I will be doing some cans of black undercoating too, just on some things under the car after I clean them up as well. I will paint the small portion of the tail pipes you can see through the wheel wells before the tips start. Gonna use a high temperature flat black to make it blend in, I know its not extremely hot in that portion of the exhaust but may as well use high temp stuff to be sure.

True. Im leaning towards red or ford blue may be nice too or a dark or royal blue kind of color. Like Ford blue with small white Ford logos, nothing flashy, just a little detail thats small and only seen if you really look. Or could do red or red with small white GT decals

Think Im going to do the red, and order either white running horse decals, GT, or Mustang. Be simple and clean, if I do a clean job that is.

Got my tires yesterday, took a little over a week, came from Cali. Free shipping but $20 handling only. Anyway, will try to get them mounted and installed tomorrow, dont know if I will have time or not?

Wanted to get the brakes painted before but didnt have time over the past week. I will prob install wheels and tires, then week after next when Im off my buddy and I will do the springs and ball joints, then Ill paint the brakes too and the other parts underneath I wanted to clean up and paint also. Its nice to finanly have the whole set of wheels and tires now, and for a great deal and even better I already sold my stock ones too. Didnt cost me a ton at all.

Thanks! Yeah I like them, I wasnt sure after I got them if I made the right choice but for as cheap as they were it was worth a shot. Just want the springs installed now so it will look even better. When I have time that's what I will do next of course. Well at least if their in boxes they will be safe and you got an amazing deal on them

Thanks. Funny how wheels can set a car off and give it a new look (the right ones anyway). Looks like the lowering springs, ball joints will go on this Saturday if all lines up right.

So confirmed as of right now the 03 will go to my buddies brothers garage at his house to get the springs and ball joints installed on Saturday. Taking the car over there on Friday so its there and ready for him to start Sat morning, then finish when I get off of work on Sat. It will be nice to have done now with the new wheels. Hoping the 1.5" SR claims is true, seems to be pretty accurate with the reviews which are over 100 now on the AM site and Ive checked other forums too. Also no isos so that will help a little.

After the springs and ball joints it will be time for an off road H pipe, OEM (oem like) headlights with the light smoke tint, and a Mach 1 chin. After those smaller items are done then it will take a test for a while and towards August I hope anyway, will be either a tune/tuner from MPT or a 410 rearend and whatever I dont get this summer out of those will be my winter goal to accumualte the parts. Other than painting the brakes, other underneath areas, and some interior paint on the door pulls and radio bezel that will be it for this summer. I will be satisfied at that point with the progress I made, Im already a little ahead fiancially wise and mod wise because of the great deal on the wheels, somewhat good tire deal, and selling my stock wheels/tires. If funds are good I may sneak in a Summit TFS throttle body and plenum, we will see, if so then Ill get gears instead of the tuner, and get the tuner over the winter or bday funds this fall to tie things together.

Everyone seems to gravitate towards red for calipers. I will eventually paint my calipers, but I think I am going to stay away from red. Ford Blue should match well and not be overly flashy.

A lime green would look damn good on your mineral grey.

I agree a green like that would look good on a mineral grey car. For me it would be too flashy and I assume revv too if he doesnt like red because its flashy

I was debating ford blue too, after looking at some I didnt love the way it looked. Red is just a classic look to me I guess, and I know it will look good. I was also thinking of just doing them black or gunmetal so they blend in. I have black MGP caliper covers on my 96 and they look really good, subtle. I too am not flashy in the least. Just thinking red too cause of all the mustangs with red calipers even from the factory with Brembos, prob why it pops into my head as the color to fall back on. Havent got the paint yet so can figure out what I want.

Not just lime green, but glow in the dark lime green. Maybe with some hot pink lettering.

To top it off I would have to get fluorescent orange wire loom to cover all off the brake lines.

I can't stop there. The touch to set it all off would be black light neon tubes under the car to show off all that great work at night.
