3 valve swap.

Hi Guys. I'm new to the site. looking for some advise regarding a 3v swap. I Have a 2004 gt witch recently took a drink and puked the engine.
This past week a 2006 ford explorer landed in my lap for free. low milage truck with sever front end damage.
I'm just looking to hear fresh opinions on the matter because most of what I'm finding on the web are older posts. Im a 20 year technician and plan on doing all the work my self. I do plan on using the loganmotorsport 3v conversion kit to get things going. any info would be great. Thanks in advance guys!

Why not just put your 2v setup on that shortblock? I'm just not a big fan of the 3v cars

Unfortunatly the 2v shortblock is shot. The Pistons on two cylinders grenaded and scored the cyl all to hell. Why don't you like 3 v cars?

Sorry lowflyn I misread your message. I get what you mean. I guess that's a possibilty? Dont the 3v heads flow alot better than two valve though?

I just like to keep things simpler. Not sure how involved the wiring would be swapping to 3v.

The Logan kit is completely plug and play from everything I understand. If I had a low mileage 3V for free and a car to put it in... I'd probably buy the Logan kit too.
