Congrats on the engagement ring- I think I was more enjoyable than anything I've done to my car (or any)

Going to order the 60lb injectors, and 255lph pump tomorrow. Speaking of pumps how are the walbro pumps?

Also going to order the mmr oil pan. I was thinking tho, since it hold more oil would the mmr windage tray help? It says it nets a 16hp gain which I'm sure is exaggerated but what do you guys think? Windage tray or no windage tray lol

I wouldn't say you would need it.

And i wouldn't even listen to any BS that MMR says. I personally will never give them a dime of my money because of all the crap i've heard about them. Horrible company.

Well I've done a lot of research into them. The only issues is their customer service, it is horrible. The products that they sell are actually nice. Their assembled long blocks are ****ty but I only ordered my rotating assembly and oil pan from them.
I have seen their oil pans and rotating assembly's in person, buddy of mine has a 670hp on3 turbo 2v and he's running their assembly, all was good quality stuff, I remember, because I helped assemble that engine lol

Potentially... but you'd need to be spinning to 7k+ and have a lot invested into the motor/rest of the car.

I mean its all about how much $$$ you have really and how much you are willing to spend.

For me... finally having another large(ish) power street car at 400-500hp is more than fine. When you drive around on some of the roads around here with more than that its kinda pointless. Now on the track its a completely different ballgame.

I'm looking to be in the 500 range on relatively low boost then just up the boost as necessary. On3 kit, nitrous is not the plan lol just an idea earlier in the build lol

My only thing with nitrous is it runs out lol I won't have to fill a bottle with a turbo lol

Got the k member assembled and in the car, also got the coilovers installed, was pretty straightforward. Had to do some grinding on the metal dust cover on the strut tho.

Really getting second thoughts about the on3 kit.

Not really anything negative but I feel like I would like the tork tech kit with a blower like a termi over the turbo set up.

I feel like the piping would turn into a PITA. Plus I would have to upgrade all the v bands and wastegate because those on3 parts suck.

But I am dropping to 9.3:1 compression so is that going to hurt anything?

Will I be able to run it n/a on that compression for a little bit?

Stock is 9.5:1, you'll be fine.

For a street car you probably would like the Tork Tech kit better but good luck with them if you ever run into any issues... It is, however, the only way to get a non Kenne Bell PD style blower onto these cars without going custom or finding one of the way too small M90 kits that Saleen/Roush/whoever did back in the day.

Is it out of reach to get 600+ on the eaton blower? I'll have a full bolt on car still with cams and everything else except now I've got a built engine to back it

Way out of reach. Fully ported they top out in the low 500whp range and that's on the 4V with all the bells and whistles and a tank of ice in the trunk. Those things heat soak like a mofo. A problem you will not have hardly at all with the On3 setup. Comparitevely anyway.

For 600whp on the 2V you'd need to go with a TVS or Whipple blower which will run another $2500+ for just the headunit. And then you'd want to upgrade your stock heads and all the other shaznats.

Well f*** a duck.

I love the sound of the damn blower and I'm wondering tho, if I would be happy with 500 like you said and just slapping a whipple on it later down the road.. I haven't committed to either yet so I've got time to figure it out. Just wish I didn't have to immediately replace the on3 v bands, wastegate and bov b/c then it would be an easier choice

Nothing wrong with any of the on3 stuff. Pull apart a wastegate from on3 and then one from precision and get back to me. I'll wait

Heard from where? There are a ton of ppl running the On3 stuff with zero issues now. Maybe you were reading threads from 2011?

I think Chad may have even addressed the V-band clamp issue and if not that's not exactly a deal breaker...

At least On3 will provide you with support and quick replacement stuff if there is an issue. Good luck when dealing with Tork Tech...

I think they were older threads, haven't seen many complaints about the new gen on3 kits.

And I just spent an hour reading horror stories about tork techs customer support lol

Lol the reason I ask is because I thought of doing a drag setup but a buddy of mine said that because of the 17 inch wheels on the car now that I would have to go through a lot of crap to get 15's on the rears...I have a regular ol GT so no its here.

15s should not be a problem out back. Up front they would probably be especially if you had upgraded brakes but just run a 17" rim up front to fix that problem.

They weren't a problem in the rear, but I did have to use 2 very very thin spacers up front because it would hit the slide bracket on the caliper.

But of course I'm not lowered 1.5" anymore upfront because I've got the coilovers.
