I may be different but the welded aluminum type of stuff is pure sex to me lol I love it. If the moroso valve covers weren't 600$ I would've got them lol

Still workin on drilling the tap out, it's a very slow process but so far so good.

Should get the drivers head done this week and bolted on!

Probably not that many.

Maybe someone out there going to a school for automotive tech, has a silver Mustang GT, a disposable income, and really good instructor to mentor him/her. Just kidding you should be very proud of what you have accomplished. I envy you with this build very much. I Can tell you are very detailed and meticulous with your work. Im sure if you can do this now, imagine what you can do in another 15-20 yrs! Maybe someone on ME will be saying in 20 yrs, "what do you think about taking my car to Keeney Performance, I heard those guys do amazing work!!"

Yeah dude is doing this motor like a BAWS. For real. I mean I was doing my first stuff in my early 20s but that was all backyard **** with bolt ons and attempted my first HCI at like 23. Completely different league.

Also probably going to make a pretty good living with this skillset. Too many young 20-somethings get a worthless degree, massive debt and then find out there are zero jobs or they have to go to school another 2-6 years to get a degree that MIGHT actually get them a job. With as complicated as newer vehicles are to work on these days... high demand for good mechanics.

That's the goal!!

And I wouldn't say I have a disposable income lmao, I'm spending a lot of money that I shouldn't lol

But your right about the detailed meticulous part lol I'm mad OCD so everything's gotta be perfect which in this field is a good thing with all the specs and everything needed to follow.

I've gotten pretty far drilling on the tap today, looking like I'll have the drivers head ported and polished today and I'll put it on the flow bench tomorrow to check everything and make a few more final touches with the sanding roll.

Schools out th and fr so I'll take the head home and assemble it so I can get the top end assembled hopefully next week!

I was JK on the disposable income part, I dont really think you do. We all probably spend too much money on our cars. I wish I had a disposable income or a rich wife, or uncle, but such is life. It is more satisfying to work for something and accomplish it, thats what I tell myself anyway.

Yeah it sucks. I dont have any nagging but I do know what my limitations are and won't dip into any $ that could affect my family. It sucks having a car habit unless you have a ton of money to throw at it.

I feel like a weight is lifted off my shoulders.

The head that had the broken tap is junk, the hole for the cam cam is just too wollared out to heli coil.

Which sucks but my instructor who drag races professionally during the summer and is also a machinist and builds race engines on the side as well has friends in high places.

He was able to get me a reman head for 200$ new valves, new cam, everything's new.

So all I will have to do is port that one and bolt it on.

Got the drivers head ported and polished today so I'm back on schedule as far as assembly goes.

Next issue, I ordered the Eddy intake and it was from modular head shop. It comes with custom fuel rails and fuel lines as well as a 6061 aluminum elbow.

The elbow however is made by a single individual who supplies multiple companies with the elbows (cushman, mmr, modular Headshop) he is currently out of the country on vacation and will be for 3 more months.

So MHS refunded me 275$ for the price of the elbow so I'm going to try to hunt down the elbow. I've found a couple ones just waiting for the guys to respond.

They didn't supply one, they contacted me letting me know that he was on vacation and they wouldn't be able to get the elbow so they refunded me the cost of the elbow
