Vibration issue

03 auto gt. Vibration starts around 30 mph and 40. Goes away anything after that. Tires are balanced. Would a transmission or motor mount cause the vibration? Feels like I'm going over a lot of tiny bumps.

I'd honestly do both motor mounts and the trans mount. Energy suspension poly is the ONLY thing I will ever use. Can't remember if the auto trans mount is the same as the stick but the motor mounts will be. The stock rubber motor mounts are completely pathetic even if they aren't bad.

Could also be a U joint. If you grab the DS at both U joints and can feel any play in it at all that's bad. They don't fail very often tho.

Sitting at 130k miles. I'm sure nothing has been changed out. I'll check the mounts and DS today.

The stock mounts use these little rubber wafers in between the metal pieces, its really sad. The stock trans mount is actually decent TBTH, way better than the newer cars where it lets the tailshaft move all over the damn place without an insert. But over 12-15 years... yeah...

And if you do replace all the mounts... I will say there is a good reason Energy suspension is more $$$ than the AM ones. I've had cheap poly mounts/bushings before. Never again.
