I really do think it's the SR Performance shifter. I thought it would be a good idea to prove it by swapping back to stock. I'll post up the results.

SR shifter... you get what you pay for. There is no shortage of used Tri-Ax shifters for sale at all times for $100 if you belong to enough forums. Just get one of those. They are built like tanks and even one that has been ripped on for years will be fine.
