What gauges should I put in pillar?

2004 gt need to know what kind of gauges I should put in that I could use in a 3 gauge pillar. Thinking air/fuel ratio, trans temp, and possible a diff temp gauge or a vacuum gauge. Any suggestions would be great guys. thanks for reading.

Maybe wideband as you mentioned, oil temp, water temp? There are several different ones you could go with. Can always use a faux boost gauge.

Wideband should go in your line of sight where you can see it easy so yeah that'd work. Boost/Vac and fuel pressure are the other big ones.

Get a cluster bezel for oil pressure and water temp.

But to be honest, the 3 pillar pods look like a bucket of ***. Speed of Sound takes stock pillars and makes the pods look SWEET but the problem is you can only get them with 2 pods. You can always get an over the column pod for the 5th gauge or just not worry about boost/vac till you get a power adder.

I know Auto Meter makes the bezel for the add a gauge to your steering column. I want to do a wideband gauge there on my Stang.

My 2c's. The OEM gauges only provide an about reading at best. The only OEM gauge that ever actually changes is the temperature and fuel needle. If you want actual numbers to monitor the oil pressure and charging circuit you'll need to buy and add those gauges. They may not seem all that flashy but they are basic information. I have a triple Autometer pod on my "A" pillar. Easy install & easy to read but when getting in, you will have to remember to lean your head back or get bumped in the face.

Unless you have a 99-00 then there aren't exactly a lot of options for gauge placement.

What putting them under the radio? Screw that noise I want a touchscreen lol.

2 or 3 on the pillar, 2 in the cluster, 1 on the column and then you can always get the south florida cluster that goes where the clock used to on the 97-down cars. Just gots to be ok with cutting a hole in the 98-up vehicles. That gives you 3 more and they still have a few NOS units for sale.

That or swap the HVAC controls down to the bottom.

I've got the same wideband as slater does except mine is whiteface. Only like $130 on Amazon and they come with a bung too. Not running one on a vehicle with a tune is pretty damn stupid.

You're the reason why I got that model, Scotty. It plain works and was easy to install.
