Mmd ducktail spoiler

Hey has anybody got mmds new cobra spoiler? It actually looks nice but I haven't seen it in person. Anybody else have it yet? Any idea when they will release a painted version? MMD Mustang Ducktail Spoiler - Unpainted 388987-00 (99-04 All; Excludes 03-04 Cobra) - Free Shipping

I'd rather find a Terminator decklid/wing TBTH. That one will leave holes exposed that you should get filled if you actually care about the car not looking chincy with the "fill plugs" they give you.

Notice I said decklid/wing. I'm getting a Steeda wing because #Steedaracecar but if I was not I'd be going wingless or a Terminator setup back there. The 99/00 GT wing does look better than the 01-04 at least.

I'm more than happy to snap a picture for you if you'd like. Let me know some angels that you'd like to see it from.

As per it being offered in a Pre-Painted version I can't comment/guarantee that it's going to happen, but you never know.

Alex

Oiled love to see some pics from above, and of how the stock tailights look with the spoiler over it! Thanks

Oh I must've missed the deck lid part lol. I honestly like the 01-04 wing but nothing beats the termi wing. I'm thinking to reduce the tackiness of the hole plugs, I could sand them down so they don't stick out, and throw some touch up paint over the top. I've seen some people do that and it is almost invisible. I do have a black car so idk if that would be better or worse

01-04 spoilers are good. Termi spoiler is probably the best looking. If it was pre painted I'd buy the mmd

I wish it would take the 3rd brake light and make it flush with the spoiler, if they did that it would already be on my car, but now i gotta get my trunk repainted, get lmrs termi spoiler , and go pay a stupid amount for the termi 3rd brake light.

From the pictures I think it look pretty damn good. Granted it uses your existing 3rd brake light so it's not flush, but sure as he'll beats paying 500-600$ for a unpainted spoiler and the 3rd brake light kit

Omg now there is a sr performance catback for $270, but i think am could have just made the regular 3rd brake light adapt to the spoiler and it would have sold out

There could very well be an existing patent or active copyright that prevented them from producing an exact replica of the OEM ducktail. And I'm sure modifying the 3rd brake light to get it to adapt would've increased costs quite a bit.

If it sells well enough and the demand is there, I can see AM offering it pre-painted like they do with other pieces, which is a nice option.

I think they nailed the shape/style of the ducktail, the recessed 3rd brake light would take some getting used to but if you're wanting the look for less money it's the way to go.

And on the 01-04 cars there will be 2 holes that need to be plugged.
If you sand the plugs down or get some other plugs and sand them down and paint match you won't even see them until you're standing next to the car.
Or you can have it done at a body shop and if done correctly you would never even know there were holes there.

I considered it for my Mach 1 but I would want to keep the spoiler black and IMO it wouldn't look as good on Azure Blue as the 01-04 pedestal style spoiler.
