Bent wheel

So just noticed this on my drivers side front wheel. Tire has less air than the rest and looks pretty bad. Time for a new rim?Click image for larger version

Bent wheel

You can try a block of wood and a hammer. Should take most of it out.
It'll buy some time anyway...

A wheel and drive line shop should be able to fix that very easily. The rim is not cracked is it?

How do you not recall hitting something that hard? That doesn't just happen by itself.

Have you checked to see what the damage on the inside of the wheel is as well? The outside may just be the best side............

Getting it repaired can sometimes be as costly as ordering a new wheel in my experience. But mine was an alloy wheel. Try bending it out yourself if its not cracked and order a new wheel IMO. Discount Tire here in MI has fixed steel wheels for me before, they bang them straight. But you can still tell they were damaged, may not bother you though. Didnt you get the wheels over this past summer?

It will probably be cheaper to just buy a new wheel. With it being on the outside the wheel will probably have to be refinished because they would have to heat the wheel to get the bend out and it will mess up the finish. I was looking into refinish a wheel and it was cheaper to just replace the wheel.
