Like Recon said most of us love cars, and cars of all shapes, sizes, makes, and models. We are a melting pot of cars!

Thats how my wife puts it. She puts up with it really well though. She never tells me to stop, she politely nods her head even though I know shes not listening to me. But its the thought that counts. Even buys me parts on occasions like bday etc so I cant be too mad.

Anyway...buy your damn TB/Plenum from Summit already. Thats where I will get mine if I buy new, may try to find a used set up if I can that is in good shape.

I think in the end if its something you want to do its worth the money especially when you couple it with other mods like gears, tune, exhaust.

Throttle bodies

You should've seen my mom's reaction to my build list on AM for my GT, not approving at all. Then I showed the build list on the Roush; she nearly had a heart attack. 6,500 for the supercharger alone. Not including the new block and built 6 speed trans. She doesn't approve of modifying cars.

Every day is a joyride.

I bet. It gets REALLY expensive quick. This is why it will probably be a long time before I have a car I upgrade to FI. Just simple bolt ons for me for a while, and looking for deals with those even. Maybe Ill luck out and find one that is done right and has FI one day already done. Buying like that is usually cheaper than doing it yourself......but....you really have to be careful on what you buy, as in someones headache or beat on half assed junk. For now Ill get by with my small expenditures mods wise and save money for my family, its a win-win.

Im getting a petition together currently to present to the powers that be, to make a couple rule changes to ME.

1. No ME forum member can discuss, elude to, think about, ride in, or look at any other vehicle other than Ford Mustangs.

2. Any ME forum member who has ever owned anything other than a Ford Mustang must resign from ME immediately. *A vehicle background check will be administered on all new and existing members of ME. ME members could be subject to periodic garage searches without warning from an authorized ME representative. Any wrong doing found during any investigation will result in termination of your ME account. Individuals found guilty will be responsible for all administration fees, and investigation fees.

Keep your eyes open on eBay, I was going to do the Summit/Trick Flow combo but found a great deal on a used Accufab throttle body/plenum. For what it's worth I love it but I don't think I really get the most out of it with my 87 "tune", it seemed to really like the 91 "tune" on my X4

Sorry for the bump, but at least its not a 10 year old thread....

I'm on the fence about a TB/plenum combo. Only have a CAI and flowmaster exhaust. Reading reviews on the 75mm TB/plenum combo. Some reviews stating they bog down in low RPM's. Without a tune, will the 75mm TB be too big? Eventually getting a tuner, but it's one thing at a time at the moment. Looking at the SR performance 75mm TB and SR performance upper plenum on AM. Also looking at Trickflow on Summit as well. Good advise and info in this thread (minus the chicken), but just bringing the conversation back to the forefront for us noobs.

I have the BBK Throttle Intake and the BBK CAI with a full exhaust system and I love the performance, feel and sound! I even went with the BBK MAF to complete the system and look but I am sure that you can do without it!
