Red face Help with salvage inspection please

I finally wrapped up my salvage title Mustang GT. I had all of my paperwork in order and waited all night to be first in line for a Mass Salvage Inspection. Within minutes I received a rejection notice because the State Trooper said I did not have "original receipts".

All of the parts that I purchased were off of Rock Auto, except for a fender from a junk yard which I have the VIN and invoice for. I printed the invoices from Rock Auto and organized them. The trooper made it sound like he had never heard of "Rock Auto" and that I needed to contact them and have them mail me "original receipts that have been stamped paid with a date and method of payment". I contacted them and big surprise, the only invoices they provide are the ones that are emailed to you when I place the order.

In fact, this is the exact response from Rock Auto:

to me
Hello,

I'm sorry, but the order confirmation that you receive by email is the only invoice we offer.

Thank you,

Jim D.

This is frustrating because I don't have all the free time in the world to keep camping out for these inspections. I have all the receipts and the credit card statements to accompany each purchase, but I have no other ideas to satisfy his definition of "original receipt".

Not very happy. Any ideas?

Hmmm.
They must have much more strict rules about registering a salvage title vehicle in Massachusetts than in California. Not really a surprise I guess.
I'm unclear about what receipts that they want, and why.

Since people that gravitate towards jobs in law enforcement are typically not the sharpest tools in the shed, you may need to go elsewhere in your search for someone who understands how internet sales are conducted.

Why not get a written letter from rock stating that that's how they invoice and show that to the trooper?!!

Either call or visit (preferable) the inspection office, and ask to talk with a supervisor -- ask him/her exactly what you should do at this point, after showing them your documentation.
Make it a point of emphasis that you are trying to do everything possible to comply with the law.

Elevate to supervisor. Be polite at all times. The trooper was likely having a bad day and/or is one of those power trippers we all hear about.

When things are going wrong, the internet is usually the wrong place to turn. Ask those that you have to deal with what you need.
