2002 GT Fuel Tank Filler Neck/Tube

One of the tubes on my fuel tank filler neck rusted off, right up near where you put the gas nozzle.

Is there a cheap fix for this? Like a hose and a few clamps I can put over the hose that is still there? Would that not work?

Don't feel like paying $100 just for the neck/tube

Dropping the Tank

Can you replace this whole thing without dropping the tank?

It would be tough because the metal part of the filler neck goes about 5-6 inches into the tank and you don't have that much room to pull it out without dropping, those two hoses are for the evap system.

They are just vents for fuel vapors.

I deleted my evap so I don't really need em but if it's not vented it will cause your tank to vapor lock.

Some pics would help if you have any

I think it is an EVAP hose, especially since it is throwing a code (small evap leak ha).

It is deff not the main gas hose, but it does leak gas only when I'm pumping.

I will try to get some pics up tonight!

It's an easy fix but you do need to drop the tank to do it. Run the gas low then drop it, it's easy brotha, like 3 sensors to unplug and 4 bolts
