Humming noise

Good morning guys, I get a loud humming noise from the engine bay while Im in the car a/c off, just sitting at a light after maybe 5 minutes pass by, than it goes away until I turn off the car and start it after 8 hours or so? It doesn't go away if I turn a/c on or rev up the car a bit. It only last maybe 5-10 secs.

not a clue and that intermittent will be a pain. All I can suggest is a length of hose 2-3' makes a good mechanics stethoscope.

good luck

Lol I know, I've changed the belt thought it was that, cleaned out the IAC but to no solution D: I'll try this weekend and see what it is. It has no issues with the car at all revs fine doesn't drop a/c works fine.

The plunger inside of the IAC can become worn, and begin to vibrate, and it will make a sort of low humming noise intermittently. It is frequently accompanied by the symptom of an erratic idle and stalling every once in a while.
Cleaning an IAC doesn't usually help. I believe that if they are old enough to need cleaning, they are likely worn out and need replacing.

The car runs and idles perfect and has never stalled on me "only from highway speeds and pressing the clutch in" so I changed the IAC last year because of this. The humming noise only comes on once the car has been ran for around 5 minutes and only lasts 5-7secs with no other symptoms.. I can change it again the IAC and see if that helps..

If it idles fine, I wouldn't change the IAC until doing some further diagnosis to determine the source of the noise. I was only suggesting a possible place to look.

I understand lol, I appreciate the input but I will look into it further this weekend see if I can leave it parked on the lift over night and sunday morning crank it up and let it warm up.

WAG after thinking. The loud and only on cold starts maybe something expanding and getting to a spot that resonates.

shielding on exhaust/intake?

When you try to replicate it have a piece of wood handy to press on items to see if that stops it.
