Fuel pump?

Car turns on but won't stay on unless I leave the gas pressed, my guess is the fuel filter but I want other opinions and experience before I do anything. I'll turn on the car and it'll die right away or it will turn on and the rpms will be real low like it wants to die and then dies.

I recommend replacing the fuel filter. If the problem persists, then test the fuel pressure. It should be between 40-70 psi with the engine running. After you turn the key off, the fuel system should hold pressure for five minutes, and lose less than 5 psi from the indicated operating pressure.
It is also helpful to scan for any diagnostic codes.

Can you hear the pump turn on when you turn the key. It should make a light humming noise for about 3 to 5 seconds.
