Quick question

So somewhere im getting a battery drain with the car off i checked the radio fuse and its drawing 12.54 amps is that correct or should it be a lot lower and then 12.54 with the radio on

That is way too high for the radio off. I think that the amperage draw required to keep the memory alive on typical stereo should be less than 1/10th of an amp.

A friend of mine had this issue. Ended up being one of the Mach amplifiers.

Ok so i checked the draw at the red hot wire zero amperage so at the alternator im getting 12.8 amp and the battery the same when the car is running shount the amperage go to like 13 to 14 amps

are you sure your looking at amps and not volts? amperage has to be calculated i thought. all you can get when you hook a multimeter up to it is volts and ohms.

If you are referring to volts, you should see at least 24 volts with the engine running.

Yeah i think i found the problem the pigtail that connects to the back of the alternator has a bad broken wire

Yup was the problem pigtail at the alternator replaced and know my system is charging at 13.75 even with a load now im happy
