Trying to figure out what happened???

I'm completely knew to all of this....
About 2 weeks ago some little punks tried to steal my 2000 Mustang GT. In the process they broke a screwdriver off in the ignition, ripped my ignition panel off. I was able to get the piece of screw driver out and had to get a new PATS transceiver. The car started up after this and ran for a few days. Earlier today had the car running, ran inside my house, when I came out it wasn't anymore. Tried to start it again and nothing will happen. The theft light is flashing very fast again like it was when this all happened. Does anyone know why it ran for a few days and now just stopped???

Try moving the tilt wheel all the way up or all the way down. Chances are one of the wires in the column may have a short...

If you have a tuner, to avoid future issues you can have the PATs system turned off. I had some issues and was looking into this last summer. It seems once the system is disturbed there are a number of things that can go wrong

The tune would have to be written to turn it off too. Also check the battery in your key, I had an aftermarket key when I got mine and didnt say on it there was a battery in it, not clearly anyway. Mine was in such tiny writing I had to use a magnifieing glass to see it.
