Nothing yet. I talked to Jim, he assured me they were running about a month to 40 days. Just like yours. Mine may be slightly longer due to me having them degree them. I'm positive that everything will go well for you. You have enough support and know how. Take your time. Take pictures for reference. If you're not sure, stop and look it up. That's the best advice I've ever been given.

Now it's time for you useful phatspeed7x tech tip.

You'll need M12x1.5 cam bolts. After 2000 they went to a M10 cam bolt so you can't use your factory one. But since your having yours degreed you shouldn't have issues.

Take your time.

If you need to turn the motor over do it by hand and not with the starter. Less chance of bending stuff if something is off...

Thanks Phat, when I talked to Jim he told me the same thing. So I bought the ARP hardware. And like you said I'm getting the cams degreed so they're coming with it anyways. I'll be absolutely sure to turn it by hand and be positive everything is correct before I even think about hitting the starter.

CMS stage 2 valve springs. And new viton seals.
I am not going to take the cams out of the package just because they're taped and protected right now. But I will post them when they're out of the box ready to be installed.

Lash adjusters, chains, guides and chain tensioners. I also got billet cam gears which I won't be installing since the degree service included cam gears. I don't want to mess up what they have set up.

I hope it was everything I needed. I have gaskets, fluids, gasket maker, RTV silicone, and supercar followers. I think I'm going to do an oil change while I'm at it and spark plugs. They aren't old but I'm in there already.

That's a good question. I have no idea. Right now it's a waiting game between my friend finding time off and me starting a new job with the Navy. If he has time to help me and we can do it as his house that's what I'll do. If I start with the Navy before he can, I'll have to find time for both of us to be off at the same time.

Oil change and spark plugs are a good idea. I did the oil change on mine. Plugs only had 15k on them so I just reused them. I've had no issues with misfires or whatnot.

My spark plugs probably only have 8k on them. But I was thinking about scotties advice on the heat range colder. So I may change them. They're cheap. My oil only has 1200 miles on it. But I still may change that as well just because of the dirt that may end up in the heads when I pull the valve covers. I'm going to do my best to degrease and wash everything before cracking it open but still.

Well, today I paid for a tune update from MPT. Gave them the cam cards. I was going to do them this weekend, but I forgot about a wedding I am going to.

I am right there with you praying that your issues are gone. I have no idea when mine are going to get installed. I'm starting a job with the Navy after I got one with GE. And I'm still waiting on my buddy to have time to help. So I hope soon.

I'm starting work next week thank God. My buddy is still working weekends now until end of August. I asked another buddy if he would help and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I may say screw it and call around to shops seeing what they'll charge to install them. I hate to do that. But I want them installed.

Well all set to install cams the Columbus day weekend! I bought a new oil pump from melling.oil and a new water pump from stewart performance. Might as well replace them while I'm in there as well.

Three day weekend this Saturday Sunday and Monday. Can install scheduled and all parts present and accounted for. Everyone pray that hurricane Matthew doesn't take a hard westerly turn into the first coast.

So, it sounds like you are ok after the hurricane?

I've seen my share of them, too, in Jackson, MS.

I'm fine here. Luckily we never lost power or water. Most of jax and surrounding areas are without power and water. We lucked out that our utilities had just been upgraded and that they're underground.
