Cam bolts are different. Stock ones won't work. Just a heads up slater.

Hydro boost has to be completely moved to get drive valve cover off.

I was afraid of that. I heard the valve cover can come off if you're patient. But I only found members that didn't have hydroboost saying it could be done.

That cam holding tool. Junk. Totally ****ed the install. Right hand cam jumped 1 tooth. Left hand cam off several. Been working since Tuesday 1030 in the morning. This is going to be a 36hr thrash.

Well we gave up at 230 in the morning after resetting the timing. Only to discover 3 bent intake valves on the right hand head. Bumping the motor with the starter earlier in the day with the timing off is what caused it. So now it's a head job.

I'm going to bed. Had enough for one day...

This sucks.

I was hoping to get on here and read about a successful start up this morning.

Just a set back. Don't let it defeat you man.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Oh wow. I wasn't expecting that!! Don't give up now though. I know it sucks to be set back all the way to square one. But now you get to get some nice new valves with the big fat lip cut off. You won't have to worry about PTV clearance then. Always an upside!

Hey Adam MHS offers a set of 8 re-ground intake valves for a good price.
http://www.modularheadshop.com/Valve...-Reground.aspx
You can add exhaust valves as well. Then all you need is a top end gasket kit

I ordered 3 new intake valves though my work. They will be here in the morning. After work me and Brendon go back out to the shop to tear the motor apart.

Spring compressor worked great. No issues there.

Photos of the bent valves...

Lucky it didn't destroy a piston when we were bumping the motor with the starter when the timing jumped.

Hes gonna make you get sick with all that popcorn! I have only had 6 bags, but microwaving my 7th now. Hes creating quite the suspense. When we least expect it like a jolting scene in a movie, a video will appear with a nice choppy, chop, chop, song in the background!

Turn the crank over 4 rotations by hand this time!!! If you feel the slightest resistance stop!! I'm sure you've already done that though at this point. I'm assuming everything went smoothly?

Looking good Adam. I have no idea what bolt you would need for the power steering pump though.

I have to figure out some garage art to make out of these.

After nearly a week of work the car is finally put back together and I was able to drive it home tonight. Will have to data log with the tuner and get the tune just right. They sounds good.

I'll post a video in the morning.
