When you installed your followers, did you just rotate the cam to the base circle on the follower you wanted to install and pop them in with a screw driver. Or did you do something different?

Pypes off-road H pipe and Flowmaster Super 10 series mufflers. Yeah. It has a bark to it. Haven't been pulled over for loud exhaust... Yet.

Here is the car last year at the summer nationals dyno. Same exhaust with stock tune and gears. Put down more power than I'd expected.

Less than a month before it goes down there again. I'm hoping to be North of 300rwhp now.

Considering I'm still stock fuel system with only a race tune from Bama performance I would be happy with that prediction. Lol

CMS stage 2 NA cams finally here!

If you could get some dyno time it's not impossible. CMS states 30-35 HP with a good tune.

Damn man. Well I don't think it could skip a tooth at this point unless you had tensioner failure and whatnot. Did you install the followers and cam caps in the same position they came out of??

It sounds like it's coming from cylinder 1. That's the one cylinder I had to rob a rocker from the parts motor because my factory one broke when it bent the valve.

That can't be good. I wouldn't drive it until I took the valve cover off and found the problem.

I was reading an article about cam swaps in our cars. They said if your followers have a little miles on them and they're swapped to a new cam they can let go. I asked the question in my thread but no one answered. So I just bought the supercar followers anyways.

I don't think they were "required" as hundreds of these cams have gone into our cars with no other parts. I do honestly think that if you had a pre existing issue it would be exponentially amplified when paired with these cams. The lift and cam profile is significantly more aggressive. So maybe a pre existing wear pattern and issue just reared its ugly head after a few days. I know for sure my components have a lot of miles and wear on them. Hence why I am replacing everything.

Pulled the valve cover and discovered the timing chain tensioner for the right head lost tension. It was the chain I heard slapping the case. Bring the car back to the shop to tear the front cover off... Damn it!
