H-Pipe vs X-Pipe

Which do you prefer? I would like the converters to remain.

Love my x-pipe. However it gives me a much more raspy sound that my friends with h-pipes. I like the rasps but some may not. Also im catless so i don't know how that affects the sound.

Hands down the best sound on a 2v, and almost anything else too!

I agree obviously. I will change out my off road x on my 96 GT as well at some point when I run across the right deal. Only reason I have it is because I got it slightly used with about 100 miles on it from a guy who had a vert said it was too loud and went with a catted mid pipe. Its a BBK x, got it for $90 or $100, like half off or more. It sounds good with the Magnapacks but I would have went chambered with an H if it would have worked out differently.

H-pipe...it doesn't matter what paired with, the 2V is very well known for its amazing sound...but I'm partial to the FlowMaster original 40's

Personal preference as you can see from the replies on your thread.

I'm running a off-road H pipe on my 2004 GT with Flowmaster super 10 series (loud)

I have a buddy running long tube headers, X pipe, and dynomax bullet mufflers (louder)

If you plan on keeping your cats expect more mild exhaust tone. But with a good set of mufflers you'll get a nice tone.
