engine swap 4.6

Hello everyone my first post, glad to be able join y'all,

Here's my problem I recently bought a 96' gt mustang convertible for $500 .guy said it just had a blown head gasket but can't seem to get to even crank after numerous times of different fixes, I'm not very knowing in all this for swapping, is it true tho that I can drop a 1996 crown Vic 4.6 and it not need different wiring harness or fly wheel?
Anyy help is much appreciated.

By the way my car is an automatic 4.6

Should be almost a straight swap. I can't remember if the intake manifolds are different but that's easy enough to change over. All the 2V 4.6's are easily interchangeable with the exception of intake and folds and possibly timing covers/front dress.

Put the engines side by side swap the top end from the mustang to the other moter and then put the engine in the mustang easier that way

xxr staggered 17's, ford racing c springs, tokico blue struts, koni orange shocks, shorty billit antenna, billit gas cap, UPR CAI, UPR O/R Xpipe, Magna flow exhaust, Mach1 grill delete w/ chin spoiler, honeycomb blackout, Bama tuned 93 OCT. V2

But yes its just the top end you need to switch and maybe exhaust manifolds
