I am going to replace the stock shocks/struts on my 2004 Mustang
GT with 22K on it. Going to pony up for the Bilsteins. It is a nice day driver which I want to improve the handling but not damage the ride quality since my wife and I take it on the weekends for longer trips.
So far I have put a CAI, short throw, upper/lower control arms, and I will be welding in subframe connectors in a few days. Down the road I will probably change out the brakes to vented discs and replace the stock sway bars.
While I have the struts off the front what else should I have on hand to replace - should I have new shock mounts if so which ones should I buy? Should I get some Energy polyurethane bushings for the top of the strut rods? Any thing else?
I don't think there is anything to change for the rear other than the shocks?
