Wheel question

Hello everyone, I recently put a cat back exhaust on my car (SLP Loutdmouth). I'm pretty sure the new pipes are wider than the stock ones and I'm looking to get a set of staggered wheels for the car, my only concern was that the 10.5" wide wheels and tires in the back would rub the exhaust because there's not much room under the car, does anyone have a setup like this or know if I'd have enough clearance?

If there's no clearance then get a small spacer

+1 on the spacer. I have mmd black kage wheels for my car. The fit was close, a mm or two between the tire and exhaust. Happen to have a 1 inch spacer lying around and that did the trick. Really stuck the wheels out too which worked for me.

I thought about getting spacers but I've heard so many bad things about them, have you ever had problems with them?

I had 1.5" spacers on before and the wheels come off the car while u-turning. I wouldn't run a spacer any bigger than 1/2" on the rear or just get the correct back spacing you want. Make sure you can twist the lug nuts at least 6-6.5 full turns torquing down lug nuts to spec using star pattern on the studs you should be okay.

I've had a 2004 GT before with H&R Springs (lowered 1.5"), 10.5" wide wheels with 315 tires, and the SLP Catback and I had no rubbing issues between the wheels and catback, let alone running anything else period, short of just rolling the fenders
