Airbag question

Before I purchased the car it was wrecked, the driver and passenger airbag were deployed and the airbag light is on. I was gonna buy a new passenger airbag and modular, would this get rid of my airbag light or is it impossible to get rid of it once they've been deployed. Thanks in advance guys.

After you install your new airbag the light should go off. If it doesn't you can get the light turned off by deleting the codes for the airbag

Just be careful on the install. You do not want the new airbag popping on you while you're face to face with it.

Unhook the battery. For the sake of safety, ensure the systems in the car are drained of all power. Press the brake pedal, then turn the ignition to start the engine.

Once you disconnect the battery there should not be any electricity, but it is always best to take preventative measures and precautions.

You could just pull the light bulb in the instrument cluster out as well.

Lol seems about right, and not have airbags spend the 600$ on a 5 point harness

Not saying I would personally do it just giving him options.

If I could find a steering wheel that retained my cruise control options I would ditch the air bag.

I drive a convertible, adding an extra risk to the equation doesn't mean much.

I like my traction control at the moment. Bald tires and a lot of rain makes my car slippery on the road.
