Wiring?? πŸ™‡πŸ»

Not sure what the hells goin on, my tailight works and is on until I press the brake or use my turn signal (right tailight) then it goes dark until I release to break or blinker stops blinking. I have LEDs hooked up inside the car for floor Mat lighting and now I can't shut them off, when I turn them off they just dim but stay on when the car is on. Also, about a month ago I swapped out the blinker switch because my headlights wouldn't turn on unless I held that switch back to have my brights on, after I swapped that whole switch out I didn't have any issue, a month later it's doing it again and sometimes my gauges won't light up (I have the white face gauges). I'm stumped on what the hell this could be or where to even start or how to fix this issue. I've checked for shorts but have found nothing. Any advice is greatly appretiated.

Something is grounding somewhere. You have a nightmare.

That is a good question. I will need to find a wiring diagram.

Project Pony has installed several sets of gauges. You may want to send him a PM and ask.

When I was younger I grounded something extra on an existing ground wire in the area. When I did that, I caused my dash lights to stop working when I had my headlights and radio on. After adding another ground wire, problem was gone.

So there is a possibility that you are using too small of a ground to allow the flow of electricity to the devices.

I haven't added anything extra in probably a year or two except my gauges and they're wired to the frame by themselves. Would I need to ground it somewhere else??
