North Carolina to California

Its been forever since I've been on the forum but i just made the move out to SOCAL and had my car shipped recently. From what I've noticed, the shops around here are a bit pricy compared to back in NC lol. But I was interested to see what are some SMOG friendly setups? and are there any shops you guys would recommend around Southern California? Im also still running a upr o/r x but i do have my stock h on hand.

Its not that bad. Most people just swap to the stock h, pass the smog and then switch back to your offroad x and you re good for two years. The bad things are the taxes and how expensive it is to even rent an apartnent here.

yaeh just return to as stock as possible here (I grew up down there and moved north to East Bay 18 yrs ago) and smog, then return to your tune, I'll return tune to stock then go back to 91 perf tune. Planning on renting my place out, which will pay for ANY mortgage in any state except CA and moving to Austin, TX, !

I moved back the Northwest as I just got fed up with all of the C.A.R.B junk plus taxes on bringing your car into California plus license fees which are out of this world.
If the mod's you've done to your Mustang don't have a C.A.R.B certificate you need to start taking them off, like CAI, headers, CAT deletes and a tune. They hook up your car to the OBD port and no longer run it on the rollers, so....good luck.
The shops are what they are...you're in SOCAL making the big bucks...right???
