ok so I got a 78mm bbk throttle body and a set of longtubes for my car in a trade. the throttle body was uses but in good condition I already installed it the other night. the headers are brand new never been on a car before the only issue is they don't have a brand on them and may be ebay's. there really nice looking actually and there stainless steal all the welds look decent but idk if I should buy a new x pipe and do it or not. I'm having a guy put a new trans in my car within the month and debating on having him do it when the trans is out or not. what do you guys think?
If you want headers, and they aren't going to cause any problems with emissions testing... You might as well go ahead and install them, since you already own them.
it's a 96 that's pi swapped and I'm catless with magnapack mufflers so the longtubes will be a good mod won't they? and how hard is the job with the trans out?
LTs should be a great mod in your case!.. as far as how hard to install, can't really tell you!.. I would imagine with the trans out shouldn't be too bad!..
I gotta ask him how much extra he will charge me to do the headers. I have a sct 4 Bama tuner I guess I should let them know I'm doing headers and have the new throttle body and get a new tune
well unfortunately I looked under my hood earlier and noticed that my coolant crossover seems to be leaking coolant under where the thermostat housing is. my car has a pi manifold with the aluminum crossover
it's not bad yet it's only leaked one drop but I assume I'm going to have issues at some point in the future with this?
