The gears are stock from what i can tell, the car goes 70 at about 1.5k rpms but the whenever i enter the value on the sct tuner the speedometer is 8 to 10 mph slower than what im actually going any idea what is wrong?
I guess you need to double-check the gear ratio in the tuner. 3.55's are stock (as you know), but 1500rpm at 70mph doesn't sound like a lower gear ratio than stock. If mine wasn't hibernating, I'd see what mine is at 70.
The only thing I could think would be that maybe it has one of those speedometer recalibration tools connected to it. that is a module you can buy to set the speedo calibration for tire or gear size changes WITHOUT reprogramming (no tuner) your PCM. The module gets wired in speed sensor to change the output signal that is read by the PCM. It should be mounted by the speed sensor on the tranny, if it has one. I would assume all you would need to do is remove the module, but I'm not sure about that.
