Re: procharger??

um cobra heads? unless the motor has been replaced with a cobra or you converted to 4 valve it doesnt have cobra heads~ just fyi got pics?

what are your power goals? you should get it dynoed now to see how far you have to go as well, the gt engines dont like much more than 400-450rwhp~

Re: procharger??

i didnt even catch that, either way, if you arent planning on going with a forged bottomend, id go with a vortech kit.

Re: procharger??

im going to jack this thread really quick, why would you want to go vortech if you dont have a forged bottomend? would a 8 pound procharger kit be that bad for a stock car? isnt Vortech worse because of the lack of an intercooler?

Re: procharger??

yeh ill take pictures as soon as i get my car back i want you guys to look at it and give me your opinions the guys at the shop said it lookd like the previous owner swapped the heads and all this other junk honestly and it runs super strong for a gt there hasnt been much here to touch it ive raced cobras and made them look silly but pictures will be a definate ill take several from different angles. ALSO dunno how much i believe it but they said the car was pushing 500 rwhp when the previous owner had it. its a notorious well known car around here tho i just have no idea wut its got in it.

Re: procharger??

Before you add any power adder you will want to find out what you have. Do some more rersearch and call the previous owner if possible. The reason some people prefer the Vortech for a daily driver is because the procharger is self contained and requires frequent oil changes where as the vortech uses the motor oil and doesnt require seperate oil changes. Either s/c will produce more power then a stock motor can handle and both are good quality units.
