IRS swap

ok, so me and a dude with a 01 cobra wanna trade rearends. so my question is;
1. what all would have to be switched over?
2. would I have to do any exhaust modifcation?
3. is there a shop that would do this?

if yall could let me know, i wanna get this done asap.

Re: IRS swap

Y'all would need to swap cat backs as the IRS version is flat and the SRA goes over the axel.

Beyond that, it is pretty much a straight swap. You would get all of his rear suspension stuff, and he would get yours.

We could do it at my house on the ground, or we could use a lift somewhere and do it...or you could talk to TPS as I'm sure they would have no problem doing it.

If you choose my house on the ground, my shop isn't free until the second weekend of sept due to me going to NY next weekend....and I am working on tigerfans car this weekend.

They are closed until the second weekend of Sept as I will be out of the state the first week and we are booked up this weekend.

Re: IRS swap

It's an easy swap man. Full bolt on swap. You will need his exhaust as stated before.

And don't plan on just throwing that IRS around...took 4 guys last time I did it.

Re: IRS swap

the pre 03 IRS rears are not as strong but they are fine~ just might have to upgrade it a big if you put to much power through it. I would probably put in bushings while I had it out (most defiantly... they help a TON)
