How much torque can a stock 8.8 with 3.27 gear and axle rods handle?

Re: 8.8 Rear end question

I ordered the parts to up my boost from 3.5 psi to 9 psi and I asked if I would be making too much power to the 8.8 and I was told that I really don't even need to worry about it so I'm not sure what your problem was. Where did your car give out? Was it in the diff or one of the axles itself?

Re: 8.8 Rear end question

the left axle and the broken piece of axle twisted into the carrier, so axle and carrier is all sorts of jacked up
