wht to do next?

Hey guys, im new to this and i was just wondering what everyone thought i should do next to my stang. I have a 2000 GT with a Jet chip, cold air intake, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, MAC o/r X-pipe, bosch plat. 2 plugs, Falken FK-451 ultra low profile tires, streetglow blue, hyperwhite headlights, Wade blackouts, and various appearance upgrades. I was thinking about having the stock throttle body bored out to 70mm but was wondering how much that would cost and if it would be worth it. I dont have too much money as im goin to college soon. But just wondering everyone's opinion. Thanks.

I dunno about on the GT's but a new throttle body for the sixes runs around 200+ dollars... Id get some gears and start building up the engine (cam, P/P intakes, etc) Youll make some serious power out of a GT if you start gettin into the engine. Gears are always a good start though, but never fear the gear

Also is your car 5spd or auto?

5spd, I was looking into 3.73 gears. I was not sure if the 3.73 or 4.10 were better. Could you tell me what the difference is?

the higher the number the higher the ratio, meaning it takes your driveshaft 4.10 rotations to move your tires 1 revolution. Basically, the higher the ratio the quicker your accelleration will be because you're going to get into your powerband faster. Guys in the v6 world usually recommend 3.73s in a 5 speed, and 4.10s in an auto just because with the higher ratio, youre going to be shifting through the gears quicker. With the v6s though, we run out of top end real quick so no one usually goes mucher higher than a 4.10:1 ratio. With your v8 though id defanitely recommend 4.10s because your car will no be affected as much by the higher ratio (in terms of running out of top end). If it was me, id for sure go the 4.10 route, possibly even look at a 4.30:1 ratio. Remember though, the higher ratio, the worse your highway gas mileage is going to be. If youre going to be draggin this thing and continually modding it for ET times, id go with 4.30s, if you just want some around town extra pep outta the car, go with 3.73s or 4.10s.

i'd do the 3.73's.... i put them in my car and it took me a month to get used to the shift range, the 4.10's, if you use them for daily driving will use more gas, the 3.73 is a good daily driver and good on gas. i originally had 2.73's, had awesome highway speed, but no bottom end at all, now with the 3.73's, its got the best of both worlds. but thats my opinion.

Go with 4.10's . If you go with 3.73's you won't feel a noticable difference that you would with some 4.10's plus you wont notice a big gas increase either.
