No, but I've had no issues with my UPR and for only $150ish shipped to your door brand new from Atomic Performance...it's a pretty darn good deal.

Re: VRS O/R X-pipe

Atomic's price is $179.95 for the UPR O/R...the price goes up because 04's require O2 extenders.

UPR Products Off-Road X-Pipe for 2004 Mustang GT & Cobra

However, if you PM Jeff at Atomic, he will get you a better deal and it is free shipping. Members get an automatic $10 of any order over $100...but if you PM him he will give you his best price. His user ID is Atomic Performance. He also has other brands...so PM him what you are looking for and he will get you a great price on your options.

Well, I'm getting it at a local place since I have no money in the bank and my parents moniter my account like a hawk and I'm getting them to do the install for me also.

They will work, but you gotta get MIL eliminators to keep your check engine light off.

Re: VRS O/R X-pipe

The UPR is good too...and only $151 shipped from Atomic before the evolution discount.

For reference, I have the UPR on my car and it has been fine for over 3 years now. The pypes has been an issue on V6's needing tweaking to get them installed right (lowflyn and Kyle can attest to this). I have never seen one of their V8 pipes though.

I bought the pypes x-pipe you have to modify it to fit. Its a joke to install. I ordered a UPR x-pipe it fits a thousand times better and was easier to install.

Re: VRS O/R X-pipe

Truthfully ive never heard of them. I would think as long as its stainless. You shouldnt ever have a problem with it. You said someone else is installing it. So make sure its stainless. If not get something else.

Re: VRS O/R X-pipe

I don't remember if they are stainless, however mine hasn't rusted at all in over 3 years.

If you have a set of jack stands (~$20 if you don't), it should only take you about an hour to do this the first time. It's just 4 nuts on the back side where it meets the cat back and 4 nuts on the front side where it bolts to the manifolds.

The hardest part is getting to the passenger side manifold. You'll need some extensions to get up there (~18" worth or so). And to remove the O2 sensors is just a 7/8" or 3/4" open end wrench.

No, only 2. ONly the rear O2's need to be disabled. THe fronts will read normal, it's the rears that will complain because the exhaust won't be changed by the cats since they are missing...

Re: VRS O/R X-pipe

edross... if your stang is as old and been all over the north and west like mine has before i bought mine. i really suggest spraying the nuts and studs where the factory h pipe connects to the header, with some pb blaster or break free.. for about a week prior to taking them off i stripped 2 nuts and snapped two studs. lol turned the one hour job into 7 over two days.

Re: VRS O/R X-pipe

go with the PB blaster is works better wd40 is for lubrication not break down of rust and what not. the pb blaster will work better if the pipes are warm when you do it... good luck with the install and the passenger side is a B*TCH!!!!!!!! that took most of my time.

got under the car and sprayed the bolts, they looked good, but it looks like a pain in the ***(passenger side) local muffler shop said they would do the install for $60, would you rather spend the money, or do it yourself? btw how does your car sound with flows? is it much louder?

Re: VRS O/R X-pipe

i ended up spending about 40 doing it my self over 2 days with the welding services i needed to get the one of the broken studs out and the cost of the lift for about 7 hours all together so i think 60 is a good deal to not have to worry about you messing something up. plus if they break it they have to fix it lol. my flows are welded on to factory pipes. with the x pipe i think they sound better but i think the borlas sound better even with out an x pipe. im thinking about going straight pipes out the back.
