I need some help

I am new to this forum and need a little bit of help. I just completed swapping motorset, all wiring, all suspension, brakes, interior, everything from a 2003 Mustang GT to another 2003 Mustang GT. I have started the vehicle and let it idle for a while. But now it wont start I know there is power but something is disabling power to the starter. I removed the factory theft protection wires that interrupt the ignition and wired it up normal, no chip. So I am wondering if there is something else that I should have removed in order to completely delete the theft system? I started the car fine without the theft chip, so I dont know what else it could be? . I was able to download a FSM for all my cars but cant seem to find one for the Mustang. Can someone lead me in the right direction on how to obtain a FSM or chime in with a possible solution? I hope that I posted in the right section if not moderators please move thanks.

Re: I need some help

My only question is if you took the same motor and swapped it in. It should work. Thats just like rebuilding the factory motor in the car. So your saying there is no power getting to the starter. Which it sounds like you have done everything correctly. The first thing i would check is the starter relay. If that doesnt work work your way back to the column. But im pretty sure its just something simply. That was overlooked.

Re: I need some help

Thanks for the info fellas. I will definitely look at the relay and recheck all grounds. I just was unsure about the theft system.

Re: I need some help

If the factory alarm
giving you fits, the FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
lt. blue/black |-| at the 26 pin plug @ the FEM module,
located under the drivers side of the dash on the
firewall.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the FACTORY alarm functions entirely.
You'll know if it applie to yours as soon
as you arm the system, (or try to).

Re: I need some help

Well I have not yet been able to get under the hood as the weather in my area has been rainy. Hopefully I can get under there tomorrow. Thanks herbstang for the feedback. I will post the resolution just as soon as I get to wrench on it. Thanks again fellas.

Sorry for the adolescent attitude. I am also a member of Zilvia.net and normally get answers to my Q:s fairly quick, but the majority of the feedback I get is from kids who do one motorswap and call themselves mechanics.
The information I have been given thus far is all beneficial and I dont have to sift through garbage posts. Thanks again.

No problem !! Like the man said we rather not post misinformation and sometime it takes a little research. Plus not all members/Admins are online at the time the post was made
