Re: Need HELP!!!!!!!!!

Start with the easiest - in my time as a tech I've gotten brand new coils, out of the box, that were bad - try swapping that coil with a known good one, see if it still has a miss.. If it does, and there's no circuit codes stored (IE if there were a wiring/connector issue, it would show a code for that coil..)

Ditto what hottcobra said.. Regardless if it looks like something hit the plug.. something closed the gap, so there was some sort of contact somewhere.. A closed gap on a plug in the regals like mine is a sure sign of a chipped piston (hypereutectic... HARD but brittle, just takes some spark knock) and if I remember right Ford left out the knock sensors on the 99+ mustang GTs.. While you're probably still naturally aspirated, a lack of fueling could definitely cause detonation, audible or not..

If you go ahead with a compression check, let us know what you find out.. Could be a broken spring/etc...

Re: Need HELP!!!!!!!!!

Well had it looked at and number 3 is fine but 4 has no compression he also said maybe valve spring, so I going to rip the vavle cover off, I'll check back in a few.

Re: Need HELP!!!!!!!!!

check for a broken valve spring. if that's not it. you need to do a leak down test, to find where it's at.

Re: Need HELP!!!!!!!!!

Ok well the valve spring is good so what now? Valve? I dont have the time or the tools to pull the head myself since we moved to Texas from Florida and this shop said like $600 for labor plus parts and I just dont feel good about messing with the timing myself.
