Re: Engine mounts

It can't hurt to replace them with new ones if you are going to do it that way. Whether or not you need to replace them is questionable... I didn't replace mine when I put my new engine in and the old ones still worked fine.

The one plus is it is one less thing that can go wrong and they are easier to replace if you are doing something like this.

Re: Engine mounts

Here's the thing, eventually, they will need to be replaced...the rubber just gets old and squishy. So, you may as well since they k-member will be out. It won't hurt at all.

As for brands, just check out atomicperformance.com ... I believe he has them there. I wanna say they are protane, but maybe not. You could also use the ones from autozone and what not as well...if they have them in stock.

Re: Engine mounts

Definately go with urethane over rubber. Also, don't get the solid mounts either. Just thought I would throw that out there for ya.

Re: Engine mounts

No, solid mounts are metal mounts. The ones I posted are urethane. They will last longer than a regular rubber mount and will still provide the noise and vibration limiting that rubber does. Solid mounts transfer all noise and vibrations
